One-on-one support

Being diagnosed with cancer can be one of the most difficult situations a person would ever face in their lifetime. The Cancer Society provides one-on-one emotional and practical support to people with cancer, their family/whanau and friends.

Caring and dedicated staff in our regional divsions and centres are here to support you. They will:

  • listen to your questions and concerns
  • provide accurate information about cancer and treatment
  • offer quality support services and advocacy following a cancer diagnosis
  • suggest ways to cope with uncertainty
  • connect you with other support organisations or networks.
Supportive Care Coordinators
